I dont get why it goes digital. I dont see a point to it. The current way is much better in my opinion. I think this is just a step towards going fully digital. Afterall PlayStation is going digital next gen and xbox already wanted to this gen before changing there mind.

I feel you only watched half of some one else's tiktok about this. if you insert the disc to download it. it will remove the other person's license. the disc doesn't become useless, they don't need to cancel anything. Xbox is planning on also removing discs on there next console. this is just there way of letting you keep your library since Xbox is big on backwards compatibility and they saw the backlash that playstation got. if they kept the disc try you would still need to keep the disc anyway if you wanted to play it. the internet is already full of incorrect information. please don't add to it

They said that the digital license automatically revokes when someone else downloads the disc to their console , so you can buy a physical game (for cheaper) finish it and when you finish it you can still sell it

doesn't even matter to me. if they aren't making a disc drive for my games and movies, I'm not buying a new all digital system. I'll stay where I'm at and retire when physical media is gone.
