The new supply it isn’t an upgrade—it’s a comfort zone. In my experience, when someone monkey branches, the new person thinks they’re better because they only know the story they’ve been told. They don’t realize they’re getting the version of that person that’s trying to sell them a dream. You were too real. You required accountability, communication, and effort. The new person doesn’t require any of that yet, so of course it feels easier. Easier doesn’t mean better. It just means they haven’t gotten to the hard part yet.

Yep i definately know how this felt he was mentally, emotionally and verbally abusive being a narc. He cheated on me and denied it i found out after i got divorced but really didnt give a shit because divorcing his putrid, toxic, abusive ass was the best thing i ever did im now on a healing journey and trying to live my best life !!!
