In Colorado, it is a stop and ID state, and they do not have to tell you the reason for the stop until after they identify you. It’s extremely unpopular (very few support it) and very unconstitutional, but- you can sue if they do not provide you a lawful cause for the stop once they have cleared you to leave. In other words: all of the above is true, but if there was no cause for the stop, it’s a lawsuit.

The hilarious of google and SM lawyers 😭 Every state requires the operator of a vehicle to identify themselves if requested during the operation of a vehicle. That’s different than the law surrounding Stop & ID.

Colorado is a stop and id state along with about half of the other states😅😂 even stop and id states need ras tho..but if he got pulled over and it's a legit stop he's wrong

Better option don’t give the id you get arrested you have him on tape agreeing that he is going to violate your rights then they have to pay you the lawsuit plus per diem for every day you sat in jail
