as a student therapist, ai therapy scares the hell outta me. AI is a yes-man, it approves and validates absolutely anything you say. if your therapist never once questions you, and nods along to everything you say no matter what, leave that therapist ASAP

I think you can go even wider with this observation - to the themes that defined 70s and have started to define this era. The decaying economy and disappearing jobs, plummeting quality of goods, cultural backlash against anything perceived as synthetic, etc. Not sure how the fuel shortages fit in, but it's another similarity. Really interesting stuff.

And just like polyester, there will still be a time and place. (Polyester threads for sewing will keep from fraying and breaking on an otherwise entirely natural garment and help it last longer.) But something entirely ai will ultimately be regarded as cheap and soulless and the mass-production of it will result in it being eschewed by people who become highly conscious of its presence.
