Thank you for clarifying. I didn’t know all this history about him so part of me was like yay! Glad he went there and saw first hand how brutal they are. But it bothered me that he was saying how dare they do this to an American politician and not saying how dare they do this and so much worse to Palestinians for almost 80 years.

I think it’s important to highlight that Ro Khana had an issue with Hasan calling it a genocide during an interview at the DNC. He calls it a genocide himself now. He’s evolving. But he is definitely not beyond criticism.

I’m not in favor of him but he just posted a video saying he’s voting for zero offensive or defensive aid, would love to see your insight on it. I know the majority of these politicians are corrupt and I want to be better at recognizing if there is any ulterior motives behind the things they say, which is the case most of the time.

I haven’t heard a ton about Ro Khanna before this, besides that he was generally progressive / AOC aligned, but the way he came back and did early interviews saying that Israel detained “Americans” and that they disrespected “America” was weird. It felt like an odd thing to highlight when it is the daily reality for many Palestinians. Hearing this stuff about him really makes it clear why he chose to focus on that.
