I missed breakfasts, rushed out the door before they were awake most days, and watched my job become more and more corporate. I knew I didn't want to do that forever. So I took a leap of faith. I trusted God, signed up for upholstery classes, and started a business in our basement. Has it been easy? Not even close. Learning a trade, running a business, and living with inconsistent income has stretched me in every way. But it's also given me a life I wouldn't trade. l've been able to make breakfast for my kids almost every morning for the last 10 years. If I want to go for a hike on a random Tuesday, I can. Some months are stressful. Some projects turn into huge paychecks. But every bit of it has been worth it. If there's a dream God keeps putting on your heart, don't ignore it just because it's scary.
