@adably.tv: Have You Eaten a Dead Body This Week? Allah compares backbiting to eating the flesh of your dead brother. أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ “Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would detest it.” Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 12. The Prophet ﷺ explained that backbiting means mentioning another person in a way they would dislike. When what you say is true, it is backbiting. When it is false, it becomes slander. Before speaking about someone who is absent, ask yourself: Would I say this exact sentence directly to their face? Protect your tongue. Protect your brother’s honour. Subscribe to Adably TV for powerful Islamic reminders. #sunnah #Islam #AdablyTV
