monogamy isn't for everyone and polyamory is real for so many people. as long as everyone is consenting, communicating and happy then it doesn't matter what others think. theres only 2 reasons I'll get divorced and thats cheating and a*use

I would disagree with you because I think a part of love is sacrifice, like sacrificing the desire of others for your partner willingly. I do believe marriage last forever and you have to be willing to forgive one another during all situation because you chose that partner. But regardless I love that you are being honest with yourself and open! And I thank you for expressing your opinion! You are a very strong person! For me as long as both partners are allowed to have other partners then it's fine but the moment I'm not allowed to then we have a problem. which is why I stick to monogamy it's far easier for me deal with one person's emotions rather than multiple people's. I find it rather exhausting as an introvert.

I’m monogamous but my experience with being cheated on is that the issue wasn’t the physical act itself. It was the boundary I set to emotionally protect myself, that I disclosed early in the relationship being betrayed, and the lack of honesty and trust following that act.

There are so many types of love the Greeks had a bunch of words for different love. I have a platonic life partner. She's one of my best friends and I love her to the ends of the universe. Neither of us are sexully attracted to each other (at this point it'd be weird if we did hook up 🤣). My life partner is the love of my life, he is my forever. All relationships need communication (romantic and non). Having multiple partners takes even better communication. Ethical non monogamy is different than non monogamy. The first requires open, honest, and clear communication. The other leads to shady practices (from what I've seen). So really, finding someone who accepts you and can accept that you have eyes and still have attractions outside of your relationship, and lets you fully be yourself, and communicates with you in a way that you can hear and understand is what we should all strive to find.
