@elena_learn_russian: Every Russian learner makes these 3 mistakes 👇 1️⃣ Memorizing complete phrases instead of learning how to build your own. We don’t speak in fixed sentences! We create unique phrases as we speak. That’s why simply cramming phrases doesn’t work and why grammar matters so much. Imagine you want to say “I eat bananas” and then “He eats bananas.” In English, only the pronoun changes. In Russian, the verb changes too. If you only memorized one phrase, you’re stuck. Don’t just memorize sentences. Learn how they work, practice making your own, and don’t ignore grammar. 2️⃣ Translating directly from English. Russian has its own logic and sentence structure. If you translate word for word, you’ll often sound unnatural or say something completely different from what you intended. Start thinking in Russian patterns instead of looking for English equivalents. 3️⃣ Being afraid to speak until you’re “ready.” You will never feel 100% ready.
