Two notes: First, I would substitute Blade Runner for Battlestar Galactica. Covers your topic of what is sentience and also what is humanity in a more profound way imo. Second, two notes. Discuss with the class how the music of Jaws draws the viewer in and evokes a very real physiological response through the two repeated notes of the shark's theme that are, at their essence, a heartbeat. The brain hears those notes as a heartbeat rhythm and their own heartbeat quickens with the music. It's that visceral, unconscious response that made the movie so real, and traumatized a generation. I love your content 🥰
