Left a strong union after a while to go non union 1st 7 months of this year with no OT cleared what I made last year with 50 hr weeks. Only difference is I have a larger work load but I also feel growth instead of those repetitive big jobs

Mannnn…. Such a competitive trade at this point. IBEW 292 has about 1,000 on the waitlist… I’m sitting at rank 250.. they hired 15 this year 🙃

I am Union. If anyone thinks they are going to find work in 10 years from now better have a plan and have a bad ass work ethic. The market is saturated already and after these data centers it is going to crash. I have 35 years in the trade. Thankfully i will be retired. Anyone who survived thru 2008- 2018 knows exactly what i am talking about. I am not putting the Union down by any means, it is just facts!

Well see the problem is the Locals that are selling tickets to people who don't know what 3/4" conduit looks like. I personally get angry when someone's getting my pay grade without my skill.
