I disagree! Schools do offer a basic business class. It is up to the student to take the class. I did and learned how to write a check. Parents need to show their children how to be responsible with money. I watched my parents discuss paying bills on paydays. I showed my daughter how to be responsible with money and credit cards. As a retired elementary teacher, it bothers me to hear people wanting to add to the teacher’s plate. I worked long hours while teaching. I love following you and learning your tips and tricks.

Who writes checks anymore? It's 2026. Also, I don't think I want teachers who may or may not be financially literate to teach my children things they may nothing about.

100 % Correct. No not every basic business class teach any of this. Kids go to school and then get thrown into the real world without the financial knowledge necessary. Some parents can teach and some can not these should be mandatory before graduating high school. They expect you to be responsible adults at “18 years old” without giving you the tools. Education should also provide kids with REAL LIFE SKILLS.
