I had the same problem going into WCI. I just had zero interest in this arc. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!! Top 5 arc. Maybe top 3. You’re going to love it.

yeah wci is a tough one for me on rewatches. no zoro or law or robin, the whole wedding plot is weird, im ambivalent about sanji, is stuck between dressrosa and wano which are both peak, etc. some fights are fun tho

Her age is really never brought up in the story so if she was 18 literally nothing would change, I don’t know why Oda doesn’t just make her 18 so it wasn’t as weird and it would change literally nothing with the actual story

I was caught up with the manga in 2017 when WCI was coming out weekly and it genuinely made me stop reading One Piece for 2-3 years because I couldn’t stand this arc and I just missed having the whole crew together again

No genuinely i’ve just reached whole cake (currently at luffy vs the 1000 arms guy) and its just like… weirdly offputting to me…? I dont even know why cuz the weird spam laughs aren’t even around anymore but im still just not vibing with it
