For the people in the comments debating about where Hmong are originally from and claiming China or Thailand or Laos - Nobody knows for sure where the Hmong are originally from. Most people believe somewhere between northern China and Mongolia but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re from even further north somewhere in Russia/Siberia like the Yakutia since some of our culture and beliefs overlap with those.

Went to school with a ton of them growing up. They're a nomadic people that blended in with multiple countries such as Vietnam, Tibet & Laos. Most of the ones I knew spoke a dialect of Lao & Hmong tongue. Did run into a Viet-Hmong individual too. They were a mix between brown & fair skin being like 12 years old going to school with 9 year olds in Minnesota
