I'm going through the same thing. I ruptured my Achilles tendon and had surgery; I took the boot off two weeks ago and started walking in regular shoes, but it hurts quite a bit.

What if you get a sharp shooting pain in your Achilles, followed by tenderness? It doesn’t always do this, but after it’s sore for days.

what about if I get up from sitting and with out stretching when I run it starts hurting ALOT but after like 4 min it's goes away.

I have 3 vertical tears in my Achilles - i was in a soft cast and boot for a little over 3 months and in PT now and still recovering. It takes forever.

i do this but my right foot feels like its got heel spurs. if i rest it hurts more the next time i try to walk. drs aint interested.
