I would trade the Steam Machine never having been released for Steam OS to work natively on any video card and CPU without having to go through a lot of trouble to install it.

the whole "You need to spend a whole weekend to work in your terminal to set things up" is so wrong. You have for everything an app store in many cases pre-installed so you never have to use the terminal. Okey that's a tiny lie, you only use the terminal for Updates and it's not that deep. Beside if you once learn to use the terminal it gets easier and faster. My CachyOS Updates my whole system with arround 10 seconds by 1.7gigabyte. it is so much faster then windows.

Stop using the Home version of Windows. If you use the Pro version you can use the Group Policy Manager and completely block any feature you dont want. No AI, No forced updates, No OneDrive.
