What about health insurance? You don’t qualify for Medicare until 65 so you would need to purchase private insurance which is extremely expensive

My Father did this retirement at 57 and 62 SSA because frankly he did not know how long was going to be around. Fast forward 22 years and he's still kicking month's away from 80😁. There was a sweet spot for him it was probably the first 12 to 14 years. The Healthy Years are some beautiful times in retirement and if u Hunt and Fish even better . He says today No regrets sacrificing the higher SSA for time i agree.😎
