These are the same things I'm facing currently at the age of 26. My parents are in their late 40s and have rapidly declining health issues. Just trying to keep my head on the right track to mentally prepare.

I know this isn't what you're talking about but look at Gods creation in the back😍 I too have a lot of anticipatory grief and it's a weird thing to figure out how to cope with.

It’s hard. My Dad had a stroke at 51. My mom had a crappy health throughout her life. I lost my Dad at 56 and my mom at 58. 6 years apart. 2002 and 2008. Lost my husband at 43. Doing everything I can to be here for my kids. I spent a total of 13 years being a caregiver to each of them. I lost my grandparents at 69, 73, 82 and don’t know how old my dad’s donor was. He was abusive to his kids and my grandmother. My dad spent years trying to protect his siblings and mom. My mom joined the fight to protect them when they were dating then married.

It hits me every once in awhile that yep I’m getting older but so are my parents.. I honestly still look at my parents the same way I did when I was a child if that makes sense.

It’s hard to watch our parents grow older, even while feeling grateful that they’ve been blessed with a long life. It’s wonderful to hear that your parents were such loving foster and adoptive parents. It sounds like you had an incredible example of what a father should be. 💗🙏🏻

We use to rent the mobile home beside your mom and dad and they were definitely God sent us! You were blessed with them for sure!!

I am so sorry to hear about your dad I will keep you in my prayers. as for the kids yes they do grow so quickly and it's absolutely insane how time is really a theif but I am so sure you are seeing a great example for the boys as Hannah is too !!

92 is such a beautiful long life, and look at all of the love he gave over those years. I am so sorry he isn't doing well, I lost my Mom in March at 75, I'm 46 and told someone I wasn't grown up enough to lose her. Hugs to you and Hannah and the boys.
