Can it be used without the base? Or is the foot pedal connected to the base? I have a holder that connects to the rails of my deck that holds a regular umbrella, so I’m wondering if this umbrella would work in that

I had one. Warning....I stiff wind will blow this over, probably damaging the umbrella. Even with base full-on sand and 2- 50lb bags on top, it still blew over.
