presumably this would be a spear attack of some kind since the attacker needs to both ensure that malware is on your machine and that you visit a particular tweet. anyone who isn't a high value target of some kind is most likely safe.

The fact that twitter uses the raw upload is crazy, snce it also means they keep any location data - so if the user is not paying attention, they could accidentally dox themselves to the entire public internet! 😱

Ok I still don’t get it. It only activates if you already have malware on your device? Does this work on iPhones? If you do have some secret malware you don’t know of is scrolling past them enough to install the malware? I’m even more confused now
