Dad and me had two of these...if I remember right you have the nicest Plymouth offered in '48-'49 - if you dig around deep enough I think you'll find it was specified originally as a '1948 Plymouth WITH Chrome'... seems like the one step down model is called the 'Standard'... that 'with chrome' sure makes a big difference in the look. They really laid the chrome to the parts back then. The nogahyde seats were threadbare and some of the metal needed repairs but those chrome parts buffed out almost good as new
