1⃣ i do a "batch analysis" on sundays. i spend one hour every sunday mapping out my weekly levels. this sets me up for success and prevents me from taking random trades or feeling lost during big market moves. with my key levels drawn, i always have anchors and know exactly what to watch for. 2⃣ i avoid "cheap dopamine". i removed as many cheap dopamine habits as i could (no online shopping, fast food, sweets, multitasking, or constant background noise like netflix or podcasts). these habits wire your brain to crave quick hits, which leads to overtrading and jumping into random setups. removing constant stimulation keeps my nervous system calm and makes sure my dopamine baseline doesn’t get lowered. 3⃣ i wake up at least 90 minutes before my session. i used to wake up minutes before the open, but our brains need 60–90 minutes to fully "boot up." i now give myself that time to wake up, do my pre-market prep rituals and get into work mode. 4⃣ i only use social media after my trading session. i stopped scrolling before i trade to prevent a pre-session dopamine high. if i start the day chasing cheap hits on my phone, i’ll end up chasing "highs" in the market. this was a massive turning point in my trading career. 5⃣ i made market journaling a "must" and a ritual. i avoided journaling for so long, and it lived in the back of my mind as a reminder of failure. now, i’ve made it a ritual. i make a tea and have a small treat while i log my trades. it stopped the guilt and finally gave me clarity. if you don't journal, it’s like running a business and never reviewing your ad performance. 6⃣ i turned my phone to "grayscale" mode. i made my phone screen black and white to make it less addictive and to reduce the amount of dopamine it gives me every time i look at it. i recently did the same for my charts - without the bright red and green colors, i don't treat the charts like a casino. it protects my nervous system and keeps me from getting an emotional "high" off the chart visuals. 7⃣ i use "gaze widening" to kill the stress response. a loss automatically triggers our "body’s fight or flight" mode. our gaze gets narrowed and we lose focus on the big picture. when i feel this, i intentionally look at the furthest wall or out a window. this "panoramic gaze" biologically inhibits the stress response and lowers my heart rate instantly. 8⃣ i listen to pre-recorded voice notes. i recorded a voice note to play after every losing trade. it reminds me of my strategy and that one trade is just a single data point, not a reflection of my worth. hearing my own calm voice helps me bypass the panic and prevents revenge trading. 9⃣ i implemented a "three-strike rule". i realized that after three trades (win or loss), my decision-making battery is drained. i now have a hard rule: after three executions, i close the laptop regardless of what the market is doing. this prevents me from giving back my daily gains during the "afternoon slump" when my discipline is at its lowest. 🔟 i created a "post-trading ritual". regardless of a win or loss, i walk around the block as soon as i close my last position. this physically signals to my brain that the work day is over and i can "cool down". it breaks the biochemical loop of the market and keeps the stress from bleeding into my personal life. save these for later 📈 #tradingforbeginners #howtotrade #tradingpsychology #trading #tradingtips
