On March 24, 2015, Germanwings Flight 9525 became one of the deadliest aviation disasters in modern European history. The Airbus A320 was flying from Barcelona, Spain, to Düsseldorf, Germany, carrying 150 people when it unexpectedly began descending over the French Alps.
