Please, can we all agree that this isn't right anymore? Calling it "avoidant attachment" doesn't make the pain any less real. It's leaving your man to suffer in silence, overthinking every little thing, blaming himself for problems he doesn't even understand, and carrying the weight of questions that never get answered. No one deserves to be left wondering where they stand with the person they love. A relationship isn't supposed to feel like you're fighting alone. It takes courage to communicate, even when the conversation is uncomfortable. Silence doesn't protect someone's feelings—it slowly breaks them. If you've fallen out of love, be honest. If you're hurt, say it. If you need space, explain it. But don't leave someone hanging while they keep holding on, hoping things will go back to the way they were. The truth may hurt, but uncertainty hurts even more. Loving someone shouldn't mean watching them slowly lose themselves because they were never given the respect of an honest conversation.

He read an entire article about avoidant attachment just to understand how I was feeling when I pushed him away for the first time. Instead of blaming me, he quietly carried the pain himself. He never made me feel guilty, he only felt sorry that I had to go through those feelings and tried to understand me from every angle. When I told him to go away, he came even closer. Ironically, that was the first and last time I ever got the ick. Now we've been together for two months, and I've discovered a side of myself I had never seen before. Since that day, I've never felt the ick again, and honestly, it shocked me. I showed him what my real love looks like because he made me feel safe enough to let that side of me exist. with the right person everything feels new, real & magical, So yeah, girl never settle for less.

To my avoidant baby, I won’t beg this time. Not because I stopped caring, but because I’m starting to understand that love shouldn’t feel like I have to keep proving I’m worth staying for. I see you. Even in your silence. I notice how you disappear when things get overwhelming, how you choose distance over confrontation. And I’ve tried, I really did, to meet you where you are without losing myself in the process. But loving you quietly has been the loudest pain I’ve ever felt. I kept telling myself na “intindihin mo s’ya, gan’to lang talaga siya” while slowly, ako naman yung nauubos. I stayed patient, I stayed soft, even when I felt ignored, even when I felt like I was the only one holding on. And maybe you’ll never fully realize how much I chose you in moments where it would’ve been easier to walk away. I don’t hate you. I don’t blame you. If you ever come across this, I hope you understand that I didn’t leave you alone because I stopped loving you. I stepped back because I had to start choosing myself too. And if one day you learn how to stay, I hope you remember someone once loved you this gently, this patiently, this real. But for now, I’m letting go of the version of you that only exists when it’s convenient. Still soft, just not losing myself anymore.

He chose to understand me instead of judging me. When I pushed him away, he didnt take it personally. He learned about avoidant attachment just so he could understand what I was struggling with. He never made me feel like I was difficult to love. Instead, he reminded me that I was safe, even on the days I couldnt believe it myself.Being with him changed something in me. I found a version of myself I never knew existed, one that could love freely without constantly looking for an exit. The walls I spent years building slowly came down because he never forced them. He simply gave me enough peace to lower them on my own.The right person wont make you question your worth. They’ll make love feel calm instead of confusing, safe instead of scary, and genuine instead of exhausting. That’s why you should never settle for less.
