Your point about safety was one my dad made to me way back in high school. Younger guys would relate that to just financial safety and physical safety. But completely miss the one I’d say is far more important which is emotional safety. You put it so well when you made the point about leadership. When shit hits the fan she has to trust that she knows you’ll be able to face it and get both of you through it. She also has to see you are safe to talk about the hard stuff with and express the whole spectrum of emotions, in a healthy manner. Trust me, wasn’t until I went through therapy, and still going, that I realized how hurtful it is to have a partner you don’t feel safe sharing things. As an elder millennial unc, If could add a footnote to this extremely grounded and sound wisdom, if you place your identity in someone else you’re missing the point and need to keep working on yourself. No person can or even capable of “completing” you and you need to have your identity secure before you ask someone to trust you with their heart. Im sure you’ve touched on this point already but in case someone else needed to hear it. Love the vids have a good day

The scene when Bear basically SA’d Nicki… She looked so uninterested and like not there. I was soo shocked. The “nice guy” took advantage time and time again to feel better about himself and have consistent sex like ugh 🙄

My thing is Bear is A VILLAIN and a coward, however dudes best friend is THE villain to me because what best friend cracks your crush for years while hyping you up to talk to her. I think bear would have given up on her if his friend told him, avoiding all of this.
