Me I got Third Class Honours degree and still earn same as my peers. Piece of paper doesn’t make you it just gives you the green light to treat humanity with love compassion kindness and respect.

Literally, a first second or third will all start on the same band and you could be a terrific nurse clinically but struggle with the academic side and university marks don’t show that 💕

In terms of progression MSc etc 1st is king but of course you do make a valid point. I went with “my best is good enough”, it was and the classification was a bonus

some scrape through at 40% because they cannot be bothered and spent most their time out drinking and turning in late to put any effort into the academic side 40% is bare minimum effort you can't really get less aslong as you meet the learning outcomes

I have a diploma and been working for 26 years and never felt the need to get a degree 🤷🏼♂️just seems like a lot of stress to do the same job

I aced all of my OSCEs and practicals but my academic writing let me down, I’ve always struggled with it 🤷🏼♀️doesn’t mean I didn’t know it just meant I could not write it down in a way that would get me marks
