@theorganisedeverydaymum: Organisation must do! You can never be too prepared, especially for an emergency. I recently attended an @Australian Red Cross EmergencyRedi workshop, supported by @NRMA Insurance , and learnt all about why emergency planning is so important and how easy it is to get prepared. Here are a few simple ways I have gotten my family emergency ready - that are really easy (and satisfying) to do: 1. Prepare an ICE Folder (in case of emergency folder) with important documents 2. Pack an emergency essentials kit – batteries, torch, first aid kit etc 3. Create kid’s calm cases – for emotional support (featuring craft, games and comfort toys) 4. Prep your pantry – non-perishable food, water and snacks in an easy to grab basket If you want to get yourself and family prepared in case an emergency strikes, I encourage you to attend a free Australian Red Cross Emergency Redi Workshop and create your own emergency Rediplan. Pop a yearly reminder in your calendar to rotate your non-perishables also - it's an easy thing to forget to do 🫶

All your important documents should be in a fire proof safe !!! You can access these fast and pop them in the bottom of that case if you need to flee the home however everything would be ruined if in a fire or water damage- consider that when storing
