@rachelreallyrecommends: Confession time… the beauty industry has always recycled trends and given them new names. 😆 Back when I was doing makeup for Playboy models, Page 3 and glamour models, we weren’t talking about “overlining” lips. We called it giving them “fat lips” or “sexy lips” — and the funny thing is, the focus wasn’t the top lip at all. The real trick was the bottom lip. We’d slightly overline the bottom lip, add gloss right in the centre to catch the light, and create the illusion of a fuller, softer mouth. Then came the classic glamour pose: lips slightly parted, looking a little breathless, and trying not to burst out laughing while doing it. 😂 Fashion changes, trends evolve, and every generation thinks they’ve invented something new.
