@anatomy.of.motion: The Arnold press is a variant of the overhead press with dumbbells in which the final position stays the same, but the starting position has supinated forearms. As you press, you rotate the dumbbells outward, finishing with palms facing forward. It's still mostly an anterior and lateral deltoid exercise, but the idea is to put a broader spectrum of their fibers to targeted work, by making the first part of the movement almost entirely an anterior deltoid exercise and smoothly shifting tension to the lateral head as the press progresses.
