@lenamui1: It was a quiet and still night. The whole house was in deep sleep and Lena and Mui were lying warm and close together. But that peace didn't last long, because Lena started tossing and turning in her sleep. With one clumsy, sudden movement she accidentally gave Mui a big shove, and Mui flew straight out of bed. Mui hit the floor with a loud thud and slammed her back right into the wooden nightstand. "Ow!" Mui cried out, grabbing her sore side in shock. Lena woke up instantly from the noise and peered sleepily over the edge of the mattress. Mui looked up, angry, rubbing her back: "Lena, why did you do that?!" Lena was terrified and immediately said: "Oh no! Sorry, sorry! I'm so sorry, it was an accident!" Mui sighed deeply, accepted the apology, and climbed back into bed with a pained face. She tried to ignore the pain, pulled the blankets over herself, and lay down to go back to sleep. But less than ten minutes later Lena started rolling around again in her sleep. Without realizing it, she shoved Mui again. And again Mui almost ended up on the cold floor next to the bed. That was it for Mui. She was exhausted, still hurt from the first fall, and completely done. "Yeah, hi! I am SO done!" Mui snapped, sitting up angrily in bed. "I really didn't mean to!" Lena defended herself sleepily, but the frustration was already too high. Within seconds the two of them were having a fierce, half-asleep fight right in the middle of the bedroom. Mui was so angry and frustrated that she needed to get out. She got out of bed, put on a thick jacket, and walked out the door furiously. It was 3 a.m. when she went out alone into the dark street to walk it off and cool down. Time passed slowly. Fifteen minutes became half an hour, and half an hour quickly became almost an hour, but Mui was still gone. At home Lena was pacing the living room, restless. The anger was long gone and had turned into pure panic. What if something had happened to Mui out there in the middle of the night? Lena couldn't take the nerves anymore. She quickly put on her shoes and ran outside to look for Mui. After wandering around the neighborhood for a while, she spotted Mui in the distance on a bench, knees pulled up to her chest to stay warm. Lena walked over to her softly and sat down next to her on the bench. "Hey..." she whispered. Mui looked away stubbornly at first, but Lena gently took her hand. "I'm so incredibly sorry. I really am. Sorry, sorry, sorry," Lena kept repeating, with tears of relief in her eyes. She wrapped her arms tightly around Mui, hugged her close, and gave her a soft, loving kiss on her cheek. Mui was shivering from the cold, but because of the warm hug and how sincere Lena was, her anger melted away immediately. She looked at Lena, sighed deeply, and said softly: "Okay then, it's fine." Lena smiled with relief, rubbed Mui's arms, and said: "Come on, it's way too cold out here. Let's go to bed."
