Ummm 18 was only a few short years away. All they had to do was patiently wait and join the military like me and my wife did. Our families wanted us apart too at 16. That was almost 18 years ago. Still going strong today with 2 kids and about to go on summer vacation to Paris. Our kids don't even know our toxic families.
