Exactly. I also feel like my younger brother being 3 years younger than me also adds into that. Like yeah he’s gonna be 19 and I’m 22 but I could never imagine myself getting with a 19 year old. Even a 20 year old feels weird. I enjoy about a year’s age gap bc not only can you relate tenfold, you are also intellectually growing at very similar rates

My take is to just date whoever you want after 20 or so. If you're old enough to vote, drink, smoke, and drive (which can easily kill someone), you should also be able to decide who you want to date and take responsibility for your own choices. People say, "An older partner will manipulate, deceive, and take advantage of you," but doesn't that happen in relationships between people of the same age too? As long as you're happy.
