King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was one of the most prominent leaders in the modern history of Saudi Arabia. He was known for his wisdom, courage, determination, and strong principles. During his reign, he worked to develop education, the economy, administration, and the institutions of the Saudi state while remaining committed to his values. The Palestinian cause and Jerusalem held a special place in his foreign policy, and this became especially clear during the October 1973 War, when Saudi Arabia took a strong political position toward countries supporting Israel and participated in the use of oil as a means of political pressure. King Faisal believed that the Kingdom’s economic strength should serve its national interests and its principles. He was also respected for his balanced international relations and his firm leadership. He spoke calmly, but his decisions carried great weight. His legacy remains associated with dignity, courage, political strength, and unwavering leadership.
