Over. Trimming. Under 2,000. --- You don't wake up disciplined. Nobody does. It took me years to figure that out, and longer to accept it. For most of my 30s I thought discipline was a thing you decided to have. I'd lose a trade I shouldn't have taken, vow to be more disciplined tomorrow, and break my own rules within a week. Every time. I thought I was weak. I wasn't. I just didn't understand what discipline actually was. Discipline isn't a personality trait. It isn't something you summon when you sit down at the chart. It's the natural outcome of two things. Repetition and preparation. The repetition is the work. Same morning analysis every day. Same way of taking entries. Same way of sizing. Same way of writing your bias. For long enough that the right behaviour stops requiring effort. After a year of doing the same thing, you're not exercising willpower. You're just doing what you do. The preparation is what happens before the chart is in front of you. Decisions about size, stop, target, criteria, all made when you're calm. When the trade is live, you're not deciding. You're executing what you already decided. The discipline was built before the platform was open. What I tried to do in my 30s was discipline myself in the moment. Hold the stop. Don't move the stop. Don't revenge trade. None of it worked because in-the-moment discipline against your own emotions is a fight you lose. Now I don't have to fight. The rules were set in advance. The routine is automatic. There's nothing to be disciplined about. The right action is the default. If you're struggling with discipline, you don't need more willpower. You need a routine you've done long enough that the discipline is built in, and a plan you made when you were calm so the live decisions are already gone. Comment FIX and I'll hop on a free 1-1 conversation. We'll figure out what's actually stopping your trading and build a plan to fix it. #tradepsychology #tradingcoach #mentaltrading #tradermindset #tradingpsychology
