@bodycamclips24: According to LAPD, officers identified a BMW wanted in connection with a felony investigation and began following it on the 5 Freeway. The situation escalated when the driver allegedly accelerated away, exited at Olympic Boulevard, made a U-turn on the off-ramp, and drove against traffic. Police say the BMW then collided head-on with an oncoming patrol vehicle. After the crash, the driver, identified as 30-year-old Jesus Ernesto Jaime, exited the vehicle. LAPD says he refused commands to surrender, removed a handgun from his waistband, and pointed it at an officer, prompting officers to open fire. Jaime was later pronounced dead at the scene.
