My papaw fell into one of those Punji Traps when he was over there. They covered the spikes in the bottom in human feces and he contracted Malaria. Almost died over there and left with a Purple Heart. That war was pure hell for both countries. Also for those asking, GI means Ground Infantry.

So. Those tunnels were made a bit larger for tourist use… they were much smaller, which makes my claustrophobia go crazy. Not only that, but the lady speaking wasn’t making threats, she wasn’t making fun of us or being mean…. She was telling the truth. Vietnam was such a bad decision on the US part
