Highly recommend being a para before teaching if you can! I did this for 2 years while getting my bachelors, I learned everything I know from those few years!

It taught me how to write 6 page lesson plans though. Now my plans is 3 bullet points, because why does it need to be 6 pages? 😩

You literally learn everything on the job. I’ll never forget when my professor said “teachers are only one day ahead of their students in the lessons” and I wasn’t sure I loved that 😂😂

College teaches you the book knowledge, and how to interact in a society and work in a group. It does not prepare anyone for the profession they get the degree in.

I can’t say the same. My professors will adapt their class to answer all our questions. Did you not have multiple internships and CTs who allowed you to take over the class?
