Something that has seriously helped me overcome jealousy was understanding that a lot of what people put out as their life is a complete lie. I used to be jealous of this one gal I knew who seemed to have all these pretty clothes, men that adored her, and a relatively beautiful life. And then I got to see that she was in a massive amount of debt from a shopping addiction, was in an abusive marriage, and projected this “beautiful” life out of fear of being seen as less then 😭 she is now in a much better place but that realization totally changed my perspective. Any time I get that inkling of jealousy, I try to remember that I don’t have the full picture.

I really appreciate people talking about jealousy cause I have never experienced it so its really hard for me to grasp my friends struggles. For me if I see something someone else has its just inspo “omg love that for her how do I get to that someday”. Helps me understand my brain is not the default 😂 trust I have my own separate issues to work lol.

I have been so physically, emotionally, and finanically victimized by so many other peoples jealousy in my entire life, I’m struggling to not feel really defensive about this whole situation. I realize I’m dancing on a “bean soup” situation, but I appreciate this distinction about acting on it versus just feeling it.
