Omie is NOT dishwasher safe! Can 100% confirm. I had two where the plastic broke, I will give them the credit that they replaced them, but they did email me back and asked me to hand wash only!

As someone who works in an elementary school and had kindergarten lunch duty last school year….your child CANNOT open the Omie lunchbox thermal cup. All the people praising them in the comments I’m just telling you make sure your kid can open it.

To each their own, but we had Omie this year, and I HATED it! The thermos it too small, cleaning and reassembly is annoying, it’s too hard to send yogurt (major staple item for my son with Autism), and it ripped my son’s pottery barn lunch box. Yes it fits; it pinches the lining in the lunch bag. Because it was expensive, we stuck with it from mid August ‘25- today. I’m donating my 2 boxes and couldn’t be more excited. The only things I liked about Omie are that they are leak-proof and Omie sells the individual parts of the box if something gets lost or broken.
