I feel like it’s unfair to say they played it safe with Amphoreus tbh. It was literally a scenario where EVERYBODY dies or no one dies, no in between given how powerful Irontomb and Cyrene was. As for Planarcadia, I’m not too sure the planet will survive with the leviathan awakening now. Yao Guang is in a complete time maze and no one knows when she will appear again. Whether Himeko dying is a necessary plot or not is up for debate. I can see people calling the mc a second kiana if they go through with it and revolve a whole character development around her death. I think they’ll still develop the mc somehow but this is the part where I hate the fanbase because when they do focus on one character’s development, they complain that the story isn’t “cosmic” or “spacey” enough. I say just give it time.

yao guangs condition came out of nowhere I feel like they wanted to add some stakes in but it was so badly done taht no one cared?? like I like yao guang a lot and it was so lackluster I was convinced she'd come back like put all of the budget from himekos "death" towards her 😭 speaking of what was that even about why can the tb reverse wishes and why in the world did they cry so much over himeko when she was barely even there during every other quest and story THEY WERENT THAT UPSET WHEN MARCH OR DH DIED IN AMPHPREUS 💔💔 HONKAI NO STAKES RAIL IS REAL BECAUSE WTFFFFF WAS THAT QUEST

I was surprised himeko didnt actually die yaoguang death could ve been better if her condition was explainef early on , Asat was defeated like nothing because we didnt even get the chance to know the powerscale of starblazer and all the danger that was spreaded in 4.3 just disapeard somehow ( btw i dont criticize the quest i loved it there was just some flaws )

I don't really get the philosophy too?? Like asat pramad brought up some REALLY good points about how people are stuck to their phones all day while some people are genuinely getting bombed and starved to death. I thought the ae would at least give a solution or have a better philosophy to beat that, but it was just. Oh no asat pramad is just a crazy maniac(he is) so that means all his points are wrong and evil. Acting like the ae aren't literally complicit in multiple IPC schemes lmao

a lot of problems in this quest blade gets a new form and becomes useless, ashveil useless, pearl useless. Like i would understand asat losing if ashveil pearl silverwolf all came to help out but they beat him with the power of friendship btw asat said this was the ability he used to fight nanook and we destroyed him so technically we can hurt nanook 💀 they made yao guang die so the story has some “stakes”

I don't mind them keeping himeko alive but how the hell did they defeat asat? Also idk if I zoned out or something but why did himeko even have to die? Ok she took the attack instead of us but what the heck was that area we went into? Was it her mind? And why did we see our opposite self? Im so confused tbh I need to go watch a 40 hour long summary on the whole thing to refresh my mind

it's been always like this, they deathbait us (especially if the character is connected to hi3) and then they're saved by the great protagonist at the end of the day the quest wasn't bad, I enjoyed the majority of it but some parts felt so rushed and there was alot of flaws that could've been done better..

im not really upset that himeko didn't die because its hsr but again I hate how every story is kept to one version. We just got introduced to Asat and Ryusuke(who ended up being asat) and neither of them got any screentime until the reveal which made it underwhelming af. As for himeko im really sad that they pushed all the interesting stuff to trailers and myriad that are released before the actual version because for one they're so disconnected from the actual main story in game aswell as the fact that this means none of it will show up in the main story besides a few mentions. We are told kid himeko made an imagenae himeko as a crazy twist which means absolutely nothing because(from a pre 4.4 view) we never even knew "real himeko" and she didnt even get any proper screentime outside of a short flashback. And now we're told that our himeko actually WAS the real himeko(which i dont mind as a twist it was nice) but I just felt like none of this had any real meaning since we couldn't get any attachment to any of these characters
