As an MA I had a reputation for getting denials approved. It was one of the few things I really felt confident in doing and it was soooooo rewarding, albeit unnecessary added work.

I had to appeal, denied, appealed to the state and won. My doctor was fantastic and also world renowned and was willing to go all the way to make sure I could get the experimental treatment I needed for Long Covid. And guess what. The treatment worked!

I work at a hospital and denials drive me crazy.🤬 I always say appeal or peer to peer. the amount of time I have yelled at insurance is crazy.

Some were denied incorrectly because claim adjusters can't decode which one is work-related, etc. Imagine a patient has MS and the claim was denied as work related.

When I was younger I worked at a health insurance company. Bro doing appeals was TIRED. He probably just approved some of them so he could go home before the vacuums came out.
