I switched to taking my kids to Ditmars in Council Bluffs and Pumpkin Hollow near Fremont for all things pumpkin. I was a Gretna kid who grew up going to Valas multiple times a year. No amount of nostalgia can justify today’s prices.

I know weekday prices are cheaper but holy hell most people wait for the weekend because of the fact that it’s the fall time, kids are in school, and their parents are working so it seems almost pointless.

Not to mention it makes it near impossible as a resident of Gretna to get to and from Omaha in a reasonable manner from late September to November, especially on the weekends. The traffic is insane, the state should have done an on ramp/exit and overpass on that road a decade ago
