@jiti_voz: One of the things I love most about movement is that it constantly teaches us about life. I always say, “As it is on the mat, it is in life. And as it is in life, it is on the mat.” Every practice becomes a metaphor. In yoga and Pilates, we’re constantly invited to move from our center. We initiate movement from the core, return to the breath, and find stability before reaching outward. The stronger our connection to our center of gravity, the more freedom, balance, and power we have to move. Life isn’t so different. So many of us spend years letting our center of gravity live outside of ourselves; in other people’s opinions, in relationships, in achievements, in circumstances. Then every disappointment pulls us off balance. But when we reconnect to our own center, everything changes. To me, being the center of my own universe isn’t about believing everything revolves around me. It’s about taking responsibility for my own inner world. It’s knowing that my peace, my values, and my identity don’t have to be dictated by whatever is happening around me. And for me, that center is ultimately rooted in God. Just as our physical body finds stability through the core, our lives find stability through an inner foundation. The stronger that foundation becomes, the farther we can reach, the more challenges we can navigate, and the more fully we can express ourselves without losing who we are. Maybe that’s why movement has always felt so spiritual to me. Every time we return to our center on the mat, we’re practicing how to return to ourselves in life. #yoga #pilates #jitivoz #lifelesson #growthmindset
