@daveramsey: You don’t have to agree on every little thing before marriage, but you do need to be aligned on the big things.   Before you walk down the aisle, have honest conversations about:   Faith: What you believe and how you’ll live it out together. Money: Debt, spending, budgeting, saving, giving and long-term goals. Kids: Whether you want them and how you plan to raise them. In-laws: Boundaries, expectations and how involved extended family will be.   These conversations won’t get easier just because you’re married. Get clear on your values and expectations now.
