You are not allowed to marry more than one if you cannot be just to them and provide them with the same needs and if the first wife provides you with every need its better not to get second wife because it would create fitna(jealousy). And fitna is bigger sin than murder

I'm so suprised that u guys lowk don't understand why or how these situations happen most Muslim countries men only marry one wife they're allowed to marry up to 4 if the women are broke with children, have no money, widowed and is stuck alone without a husband, and there are rules to these he must treat them all with the same amount no one more than the other, and if his first wife doesn't agree he can't marry second, no one really has to up to 4 wives anymore and if so it's very little I'm pretty sure no one will assume she's a bad woman for getting divorced and if they do that's not in our religion to even judge anyone.

I dont understand why many people dont know the fact that the quran mentioned the only time you can have more than 1 wife is when an orphan mother and with no source of income is struggling to keep her kids alive and struggling to feed them then in that case he can spend on her fairly without hurting the first wife and the fact the quran and the hadiths mentioned men SHOULDN'T do it bc no one can be FAIR enough between 2 wives+ NO. ONE. literally and these men these days are marrying more than 1 wife for s3x and other so well called "needs". May Allah punish them for taking this verse for their own benefits

this might be a hot take but I beleive that this ruling should be modified in modern times. that men cant marry more than one women. back during the prophet's time, there were lots of wars and lots of women were widowed and alot of children orphaned. so the ruling was allowed in cases of wars only.

the multiple wives one is so miss used cause the verse came when after badar when most men died and widows and orphans remained it was for their protection due to that time but in the nikkah contract their is a section u can fill that takes this 4 marriages from them and if u do have more than one u have to love and give the same and if u can't then he'll and it's advised to ve a pair and if the first wife says no then no and if he does after she said no then that marriage is not recognised and that's a sin and 2 marriages were for the widow orphans and disabled and old woman not for young girls but like always men never fail to misuse anything
