My favourite pairing like this is the original Nosferatu, and then Shadow of the Vampire, which imagines Max Shreck was an actual vampire that Murnau hired for the film 😆

would Tick Tick Boom and then the movie version of Rent fall into this category. But in that order. becuase Tick Tick Boom is the biopic about Jonathan Larson trying to make Superbia, the project he was working on just before Rent that also leads him to make Rent, the project he sadly never got to see due to his sudden untimely passing the day it opened on Broadway and then watch Rent after so that you can see just how all the puzzle pieces fitted together in the end to create his best work.
