Let’s make ginger infused honey. 🍯 1) peel & chop your fresh ginger 2) add ginger to a jar and cover with raw honey 3) stir to get air bubbles out 4) close jar & label 5) leave in a warm place to macerate for 2-4 weeks (shake it occasionally) 6) strain & label the jar of honey 7) Store in a dark cool place Now you have your own candied ginger and ginger honey to enjoy! Refrigerate the ginger pieces. The honey will pull water out of the ginger, so your honey will get runnier overtime. Ways to work with this: • add to a tincture to make an elixir • add a spoonful to warm water and sip on it • take a spoonful to brighten your day NOTE- there is a small potential this could ferment. Keep an eye out for bubbles in the honey. If it does ferment, it’s still delicious, but needs to be refrigerated.
