@kyliebearse: Feel free to yell at me… 4:31am summer sunrise vs 8:22am winter sunrise - I’m going with the early summer sun over staying dark all morning for the coldest months of the year 🤷🏼♀️ #daylightsavingstime
More people do more activities in the afternoon and evening than in the morning. Its waaaay better to have later sunsets on DST than earlier ones

I don’t want to see the sun at 4:30am. It’s barely tolerable seeing it at 6:30am.

Why do people care about dark in the morning? It’s beyond pointless. Don’t give me BS about circadian rhythm we do this all the time. The body will adjust

2 hours of wasted sunlight in the morning in summer, I know you like it because you get up so early, but I love the late sunsets in summer as well!

Here is a novel idea. Why not just leave it as it is? Is it really that disruptive for people to adjust one hour two times per year? The sun rising late in the morning would cause children to have to walk to school or to the school bus in the dark. Having sunlight begin at about 4:15 a.m. would be disruptive to many people's sleep. It works well, just the way it is. If any adjustment is needed, then try to equalize the amount of daylight savings time and standard time throughout the year.

arizona and hawaii are case studies - obviously standard time works. signed, an arizonan who has never, not once, changed my clock in 41 years and somehow has survived without repercussions (of whining about losing an hr of sleep)

You can make the same argument you made both ways “it’s only for a few weeks”

“A lot of people wake up at 6 am” but almost everyone is awake between 4:30-5:30pm. The priority should be the most hours of sunlight during the hours most people are awake and active across the population. DST would make it so people aren’t wasting several of their very limited winter sunlight hours if they, for whatever reason, aren’t up by 7am.

I’m fine with it being dark when I’m at work but I’d rather die than get off work at 5 and it’s dark already

Getting off work in the winter you just go to bed at 6 because it’s so damn dark 😂. Let’s go Daylight Savings!!

I vote for standard time, I would much rather have an earlier sunrise in the winter for help melt snow on roads and stuff

I already wake up and go to work in the dark in the winter I don’t need it bright in the morning, I’d rather have it lighter later. But either way I think is better than changing the clocks so as long as that stops I’ll adjust

DST IS WAY BETTER. Period, end of story, WTF do I need a 4:30am sunrise for? I get up on a normal day at 7:30. Grew up in Pittsburgh it was light out until 9:30pm. Way better than 4:30am sunrises.
