omg that is the worst place to stop in Inverness they have major roadworks there and the tail backs on a normal day are up to 45 minutes. I'm surprised no one has already told you this. (this coming from a local driver) that area is heavily avoided. will take hours to get in and out of the car park.

For your journey from Aberdeen to Inverness I strongly suggest you look at alternative routes to the A96. Major roadworks on that trunk road at the moment, causing no end of trouble and delays. When you get to Keith, I would investigate on whether your mode of transport would manage to take a detour via a town called Mulben or Rothes to get to Elgin. Please avoid Fochabers and Mosstodloch route, you will get stuck, and you will get delayed.
