Obviously it’s not the same team. But they still got the big names. They got Josh Sawyer and John gonzales that’s director and main writer right there. Then you got Tim Cain one of the creators of fallout.

I completely understand what you saying, but that's not to say that current day Obsidian is incapable of making quality games. I think Avowed was a fairly decent game and IDK if this is hot take, but I think both Outer Worlds games were very good and a lot of fun. At this point I have no reason to think that Obsidian will make a bad Fallout game even though it's technically not the same people that made New Vegas

I hope not. NV is absolutely garbage and needs to be stricken from being cannon. it had almost zero story, very uncompelling, not open world. I play by picking a direction and exploring doing 10+ play throughs before I pay attention to the story just enjoying the game environment and you can't do that in NV

People don't like modern Obsidian games as much as they say they do, or else The Outer Worlds 2 would've sold 5 million copies like KCD2 instead of fewer than a million. The Obsidian devs have an impossible battle ahead of them against fans' nostalgia and the mythology surrounding a great game that was a buggy mess at launch.
